Disneyland June 2012

Last month we had the opportunity to head to Disneyland with all of Bryson's family. Bryson's family is obsessed with Disneyland and it has rubbed off onto our family. With the new Cars Land opening up, we had to go! (along with thousands of other people). Bryson decided that he could miss one day, so we flew out after class on Thursday. We had a late flight but the kids did fairly well. Sleeping and listening well during our layover in Colorado. Bryson got some great news during our layover about writing onto Law Review. 

It was so fun to see all of the Gregory family. Akoy gets so excited when he sees everyone. Grandma and Lindsey found him in the airport and scared him. It was cute :) 


Cars Land was packed. We arrived early and I think this helped a lot! Bryson's parents waited in line for the big ride while we rode some of the smaller rides. Akoy couldn't ride the race track but luckily he didn't know the difference. The rest of Disneyland wasn't super packed like I would have expected. Since Akoy had a boot on, we got a wheelchair pass. His stroller was his wheel chair. He did great keeping his boot on while we were there. The pass helped get on a lot of the rides quicker.


Lily's favorite ride was It's a Small World. She was dancing and looking at everything! It was so cute! I love seeing the kids excitement coming out while we are there. Akoy's favorite ride was Little Mermaid. ??? We saw the ride (after other fun rides) and he loudly exclaimed; "There's Disneyland, we are here!" He has never seen that movie but had to ride the ride a few times! Weird kid. He also really liked the Buzz Lightyear ride and many others.


Gregory's left to drive home Monday morning, and we flew out Monday afternoon. We took the kids to see Brave before flying out. They didn't do the best. Our only option was in 3D. Akoy wouldn't keep on his glasses and lily kept taking off mine. She eventually fell asleep and Akoy played our phones. So we enjoyed the rest of the movie. It was a cute movie. The flight home was a nightmare. We were "that" family with the screaming baby. Neither child would fall asleep. Lily was over tired and it didn't help that out plane took off around her bedtime. We survived and got home around 2:30.

We are already counting down the day's until Disneyworld for Akoy's birthday. At least that's what he thinks. Remember when I told you Bryson's family was obsessed? yeah.. One month from today! :)
