We took Akoy and Lily into the dentist expecting the usually results that everything looked good. Akoy ended up having 3 cavities which would result in work on 6 teeth because of the location of the cavity. I was shocked! We are not the best brushers but do okay and Akoy rarely has juice and candy. Apparently it was all because we didn't floss! His teeth are so tight that bacteria gets in the middle of the teeth. We will need to start flossing lily's more often so she doesn't have the same issue. Both kids have inherited Bryson's small crowded mouth. Lots of work in the future. Bryson should have been a dentist. It might have been a better option financially!
Because of the location of two of the cavities and not wanting to mess with the root, they put a silver cap on 2 of his teeth. If the kid sat well for the appointment and X-rays they will do the procedure in the office, if not they would have to go the hospital and be put under. Akoy is really good at things when we talk him through it. Bryson said he cried toward the end but after an hour he did fairly well. We will go back again next week for the other side. Unfortunately he bit his numb lip and it caused a blister and it hurts him bad. We were up all night because of it. I hope it is better by the next appointment.

These next pictures are from the appointment a few weeks ago. It was Lily's first time. Of course she loved it until her turn. Then she hated it.

That makes me so sad! Akoy looks so tiny in that huge dental chair. I can't even imagine how bad that blister hurt. I hope it's getting better.
