Last week after the kids learned the letter F, we went to the Firestation for a field trip. We combined with another Joy School group. The kids had lots of fun. Akoy was terrified of the fireman when he put his gear on. Apparently he thought he was going to get squirted with the hose...? He just stood by my leg and held it. It was fun to see all the kids so engaged in the guys talking. Towards the end they all were getting a little bored. Their alarms went off, which meant we had to go to the 'safe area' on the floor so they could leave. All the kids got excited to see the lights. They ended up not leaving because another truck was closer to the call.
